Order Beef
We sell our sides of beef on a first-come, first-served reservation system where each side of beef is called a “slot.” Each reservation slot reserves your side of Angus beef for the upcoming year.
We have limited quantities of beef every year based on our production schedule. That being said, we are a growing cattle ranch and you will see our inventory increase year-over-year, providing more beef for the Indiana-Kentucky-Ohio tri-state area. Our Angus cattle are finished each year in the spring and are processed during the spring season for our customers.
The price for a side of beef is currently $10.80/pound. Your total price paid will depend on the processed (packaged) weight of the Angus beef. Total processed weight is typically between 200-220lbs per side. Therefore, your total purchase price for a side of beef will be approximately $2,160 to $2,376 dollars.
We require a $500 deposit to reserve your slot for a side of beef. The deposit is non-refundable. Once you reserve and pay for your slot, we will notify you of your beef processing date, final payment due date, and date of pick-up. We will email you our Cut Sheet not later than 30 days prior to your processing date, where you can select your cuts of beef. Unless coordinated otherwise, your beef will be dry-aged for 14-21 days. It will then be processed, vacuum-sealed, packaged, and ready for pickup. We will then notify you that your beef is ready and you will then have four days to pay your remaining balance based on the final packaged weight. After we receive your payment in full, our butcher will then release your beef and you can pick it up. If you are unable to pick up your beef in a timely manner, please let us know. If coordinated in advance, we can deliver your beef for an extra fee*. Please note that if you fail to pay your purchase in full on time, your security deposit will be forfeited, and your side of beef will go to one of the backup slot reservations. Our butcher DOES NOT have the extra freezer storage space to hold your beef while you secure the funds to pay the remaining balance — please plan ahead and pay early! We accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, ACH payments, or bank-certified checks. Although we accept many forms of payment, we do appreciate ACH payments as we only get charged 1% by our website host, vice roughly 5% for the other methods; Our customers who help us keep our cost of business down also help us keep our prices lower for our customers! *Delivery is the exception, not the norm, and does cost extra. Customer pick-up is expected unless coordinated prior. Delivery availability is limited to the IN-KY-OH tri-state area only and based on total mileage not exceeding 150 miles round trip from Dry Ridge, KY. If you live outside of the delivery area, you must make arrangements to pick up your beef yourself.
We are currently accepting orders for sides of beef that will be finished in the spring of 2027. Sale of the following year’s beef slots become available for purchase starting on May 1st of every year.
The back-up slots are also available for purchase. These slots will put you in the queue to either receive the beef order of someone that defaults on their current beef order, or in the case that no one defaults, back-up slots will automatically be rolled forward to the next year’s beef production.
